Track stock quantity, cost, and value in TangBoe

TangBoe is for recording and tracking shares you buy and sell through a broker. It does not send live buy or sell orders.

What Boe helps with here

  • Record shares you hold, with quantity, average cost, market, and currency
  • Connect buy/sell items to cash moving in an investment wallet
  • See latest price, market value, and the portfolio overview

Before you start

  1. Create or pick an Investment wallet
  2. Have broker details ready: name, quantity, price, and fees
  3. Match currency to the stock’s market

Add shares you already own

  1. Open Wallets, then Investment assets (Holdings)
  2. Tap Add holding
  3. Search by name or symbol, then pick the market
  4. Enter quantity, average cost, currency, and investment wallet
  5. Check the details and save

This sets a starting balance and does not create past cash in or out.

Log a stock buy

  1. Open Transactions, then add an Investment item
  2. Pick the stock and investment wallet
  3. Choose action Buy
  4. Enter cash paid, share quantity, and buy date
  5. Keep fees in the total or the note, consistently
  6. Save

A buy counts as cash-out and increases the holding.

Log a stock sell

  1. Add an Investment item and pick the same stock
  2. Choose Sell
  3. Enter cash received, quantity sold, and sell date
  4. Check you are not selling more than you hold, then save

A sell counts as cash-in and reduces the holding.

Check the portfolio

The portfolio shows quantity, average cost, latest price, market value, and last update time. Details are in Investment portfolio.

TangBoe is a recording and tracking tool, not a broker, and cannot send securities orders.
